ANDY Murray's dream of becoming the first British player to win a grand slam tennis title for 74 years has been ended by Roger Federer.
The Swiss world number one produced a masterful display to pulverise the Scot in the Australian Open final.
Federer eased through the first two sets, winning them 6-3 6-4.
And although Murray lifted his game in the third set, he was unable to take his chances as Federer clamed it 7-6 to lift another title.
