Magpies swoop for defender
NEWCASTLE United have completed the signing of Mike Williamson from Portsmouth.
The defender has been cleared to play for the Magpies and could make his debut in tonight's Championship clash with Crystal Palace.
The 26-year-old, who moved to Portsmouth from Watford on September 1, will be hoping for a fresh start at St James' Park after failing to make a single appearance for the south coast club.
