DURHAM CITY manager Lee Collings labelled Saturday’s 10-0 defeat at Boston as “embarrassing”.
It was City’s second by a double figure margin this season, but Collings said: “When we lost 11-0 at Kings Lynn, I didn’t feel too bad about it, because we had a very weakened side.
“But on Saturday, we only had one player missing.
Boston were a decent, wellorganised team, but they had signed a left winger on loan from Peterborough who absolutely tortured us.
None of our lads could get near him.
“It was embarrassing. The result reflected how we played, and what we put into the game as a team.”
City have now conceded 100 goals for the second time in a season. Their previous 11- 0 defeat at Kings Lynn was expunged after the Norfolk side went bust.
Whitby Town beat Hucknall 3-1. Tony Hackworth handed them a lead but Hucknall levelled just before the break. Ged Dalton and Andy Campbell scored in the second half to give Whitby the points and lift them into tenth place.
