BARRY ROBSON has failed to make a recovery from a hamstring problem in time to make his home debut for Middlesbrough.
But two fellow signings from Celtic, Chris Killen and Willo Flood, do start for Boro in a crucial Championship clash with fourth-placed Swansea City.
With Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan restricted in his selection by numerous injury problems, his substitutes bench resembles an Academy match.
Teenagers Luke Williams, Bruno Pilatos, Joe Bennett and Cameron Park are all involved, while there is also a return to the bench for Josh Walker.
MIDDLESBROUGH (4-4-2): Coyne; McMahon, Riggott, Wheater, Hoyte; Flood, O’Neil, Arca, Johnson; Killen, Lita. Subs: Steele, Walker, Grounds, Bennett, Williams, Pilatos, Park.
SWANSEA CITY (4-1-4-1): De Vries; Tate, Williams, Monk, Bessone; Britton; Dyer, Allen, Pratley, Cotterill; Pintado. Subs: Cornell, Beattie, Orlandi, Trundle, Rangel, Gower, Butler.
