SUNDERLAND'S victory over Barrow has secured them an away trip to Portsmouth or Coventry in the FA Cup 4th round while Newcastle have West Brom lying in wait if they can find a way past Plymouth.
The Black Cats must wait until the tie between Pompey and the Sky Blues is settled before they can plan their away trip while Newcastle must overcome Plymouth on January 13 to earn the chance of facing Championship title rivals West Brom.
