BLAYDON’S match at Wharfedale was called off yesterday and is expected to be played on the next available date, March 20.
Any further postponements will take the National One programme into May.
After a three-week break Blaydon have the consolation of a gentle return to action next week at home to bottom club Manchester.
They trained yesterday, with 19 of the squad of 23 turning up, and plan another session today.
Darlington Mowden Park’s National Three North match at Stockport is also a victim of the weather for a second time.
It will have to be played on February 5, when it looks unlikely that any of the Durham Cup second round ties can go ahead.
Mowden have off-loaded back row man Mace Poloie, the Pacific Islander who arrived in October with a big reputation but failed to settle.
They will, however, have Luke Monument available for the rest of the season after completing his Barnard Castle School Saturday duties.
With skipper Danny Brown expected to be out for another month, vice-captain Howie Murray will also miss next week’s visit of West Hartlepool as he is currently at home in New Zealand.
