GUY Wilks has applied to join the BFGoodrich Driver's Team for RACMSA Rally of Scotland - the final round of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
The winner of the prize drive - to be announced tomorrw - will join newly-crowned IRC champion Kris Meeke in a Kronos Racing-run Peugeot 207 Super 2000.
The Darlington rally driver told his website guywilks.com: "Meeke v Wilks, in the same car, in the same team, would set up a real Battle of Britain for rally fans. So fingers crossed.
"BFGoodrich and Kronos should be applauded for showing real commitment to rallying with this initiative and it would be a privilege to represent them."
