LEADERS Scarborough Town enjoyed a seven-goal romp against New Marske in the North Riding Senior Cup.
The result was just about settled by the 18th minute by which time Joel Ramm had rifled a hat-trick. Robbie Hawkes made it four from the penalty spot and before the interval Scarborough went nap courtesy of Georgie Rose.
Sean Mackin and Martin Say replied for New Marske but there was no stopping the Seasiders and further goals flowed from Joe Danby and Dean Craig.
One goal by Damon Cox was sufficient for Kirkbymoorside at home to Redcar Rugby Club. The winners were reduced to 10 men in the 70th minute with the dismissal of Alex Strickland.
Guisborough Town went out to Old Malton St Mary’s despite scoring first through Mark Cooper. Ryan Cooper Dave Bell and Liam Cooper saw the visitors progress.
Ryhope CW are just two points behind leaders Scarborough following their 5-1 victory over Silksworth.
John Butler bagged a brace, with Richard Jordan, Shaun Petch and Paul Hartley also on target for Ryhope. Jordan Crake claimed a consolation for Silksworth.
Jarrow had a comfortable success against Willington at Perth Green. A brilliant solo effort by Chris Lunn gave Dave Bell’s side a perfect start and when Jonathan Matthews doubled the lead on the stroke of half time, Willington faced an uphill battle.
It was just about all over for them on the hour as Lee Buglass delivered a stunning free kick from 30 yards.
Anthony Brown and Scott Mehan earned Wolviston victory at Hartlepool for whom Chris Birbeck equalised with a good effort.
Cleator Moor Celtic also won by the odd goal in three at home to Boldon CA. Craig Padley was an eighth-minute marksman for the Cumbrians and after Chris Robinson levelled, Barry Irvine chipped the winner.
Following a goal-less opening 45 minutes, Ashbrooke Belford House and Easington Colliery shared the points in a six-goals thriller. Martin Deacon fired the home side in front but Easington then went 3 -1 ahead courtesy of Chris Tarn, Robert Huntley and Lee Davison.
Alan Young threw Ashbrooke a lifeline with his 85th-minute header and in the last minute Deacon equalised.
Coxhoe Athletic gained their first point of the season in a goalless draw with Annfield Plain.
