THE man who led Germany to World Cup glory in 1990 is to lock horns with Sir Bobby Robson once again.
Former skipper Lothar Matthaus will captain his country as they take on England once again in the Sir Bobby Robson Trophy match at St James' Park, Newcastle on July 26.
He will be joined by Steffen Freund, Thomas Helmer and Freddi Bobic, while Peter Shilton and Paul Gascoigne will be among the opposition team as the two nations reprise their semi-final clash in Turin 19 years ago, when the now 76-year-old England boss came agonisingly close to World Cup glory.
Proceeds from the match will go to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, which has already raised more than £1.3m to fund cancer research and treatment.
