LAURA ROBSON'S Wimbledon challenge ended in the first round with defeat to Daniela Hantuchova in three sets.
Robson, 15, last year's girls' champion, produced some huge serves as she powered to the first set.
But the pressure of her debut performance on the big stage began to tell as she double faulted to hand her opponent the second set.
Urged on by a packed crowd at Wimbledon's new Court Two, Robson regained some focus to comfortably hold her first service game of the deciding set.
But Robson was broken in the sixth game as she again produced a double-fault to gift Hantuchova a crucial advantage.
Slovakian Hantuchova, ranked 456 places above Robson, used all her experience in the decider to seal a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory.
