After winning a Kempton maiden by eight lengths just over a year ago, the Michael Jarvis inmate went on to acquit himself well in Listed events at Sandown and Royal Ascot.

After travelling well for a long time on his return, he began to tire quite quickly in the final furlong and had to make do with fourth place.

That Godolphin have chosen to persevere with him speaks volumes and this son of Singspiel is obviously well regarded judged on some bigrace engagements later in the year.

Implication had shown plenty of promise in turf maidens and turned in her best effort yet on her handicap and all-weather debut at Wolverhampton last time.

She was only beaten a head over nine furlongs despite having to come round the whole field and it was a highly creditable performance given her inexperience.

Ed Dunlop’s runner duly looks set for glory in the TurfTV Handicap.
