THE whole of this morning's Test session at Riverside has been washed out.
No balls have been bowled after rain began to fall at around 10am this morning.
While both sets of players made it onto the field to warm up, they soon returned to the pavilion in search of cover and failed to return.
With the rain still falling at Chester-le-Street, it is unlikely that play will start any time soon.
However, with the forecast predicting a dry spell from 4pm onwards, it is still hoped that there could be play before the end of the day.
If play resumes, England will recommence on 302-2 as they attempt to post an unassailable first-innings total.
