SUNDERLAND defender Nyron Nosworthy is unlikely to play again this season after injuring his hamstring while playing for Sunderland's reserves.
The centre-half limped off in the 53rd minute of Sunderland's 3-1 victory over Derby County in the totesportcasino.com Reserve League Cup final.
Nosworthy hasn't featured in the Premier League since January after suffering a torn hamstring.
Neil Bailey, Sunderland's first team and reserve team coach, said: "It's a hamstring injury but we don't think it's a recurrence of the original one. It put a dampener on the win."
