YORKSHIRE'S Tim Bresnan has been called up by the MCC for tomorrow's opening match of the first-class season.
England one-day player Bresnan will replace giant Middlesex quick Steve Finn for the four-day contest against county champions Durham at Lords.
Finn has pulled out after landing awkwardly on his right ankle in a practice match against Sussex at Hove last week.
Bresnan, 24, joins Headingley colleagues Michael Vaughan and Adil Rashid in the representative side, selected in conjunction with the England and Wales Cricket Board, for the customary season curtain raiser.
Robert Key captains the XI in a side packed with international experience.
Warwickshire's Ian Bell will be hoping for early season runs in his battle with Vaughan, Owais Shah and Ravi Bopara for the number three spot in Englands Test team.
