ALEXANDER Isak insists he remains focused on his "great opportunities" at Newcastle United despite ongoing speculation linking the striker with a move to Arsenal.
Isak admits he's aware of the transfer "rumours" but says a lot of what he's read is untrue and insists he's unaffected by the speculation surrounding his future.
Isak is contracted to Newcastle until the summer of 2028 but initial discussions over a possible new deal were held with the striker and his representatives towards the end of last season.
Those talks then stalled, with Eddie Howe admitting last month Isak's contractual position is "not a clear cut situation".
Isak is already one of the club's highest earners and Howe pointed out last month that the Magpies need to be "really careful with regard to our spending due to PSR".
Arsenal have long been linked with Isak, who wants to play Champions League football - but the striker is confident Newcastle can qualify for Europe's top competition and insists his only focus is on helping the Magpies and building on his fine recent form.

He told the media in Sweden: “Throughout my career, I have never talked about or really commented on the move rumours during the season. There have been many such years where it has been talked about. It doesn’t affect me.
"I am commenting on my situation in Newcastle, and I have never had any problem there. I am fully focused on my task there and that we will have a fantastic season. There are still great opportunities for that. I have no thoughts about anything else.
“The only thing I can say is that a lot of information and rumours often come out. Much of what I read is not true. So that’s about all I can say about the whole thing.”
Isak is currently away with Sweden but the national squad were forced to change their plans after the torrential rain in Spain.
Sweden travelled to Marbella for a short training camp ahead of the Nations League games against Slovakia and Azerbaijan, but they were forced to cancel their plans after powerful storms and have now returned home to Stockholm.
After a slow start to the season, Isak is now hitting top form again for the Magpies and scored four goals in four games ahead of the stoppage, including the crucial equaliser that paved the way for Newcastle's impressive win at Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
