SUNDERLAND boss Regis Le Bris has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for October.
Le Bris, who won the monthly award for August, is up against Leeds United’s Daniel Farke, Preston’s Paul Heckingbottom and Cardiff City’s Omer Riza for the October honour.
Sunderland were unbeaten throughout October, picking up 13 points from a possible 15 thanks to wins over Derby, Hull, Luton and Oxford and a 2-2 draw with Leeds.
The Black Cats spent the whole of the months sitting at the top of the Championship table.
The commendation for Le Bris’ nomination said: “Le Bris continues to guide Sunderland’s young players on their upward trajectory, harnessing their attacking instincts while equipping them with the means to cope with difficult moments. It added up to 13 points from five unbeaten games.”
The four players nominated for the Championship Player of the Month award for October are Stoke striker Tom Cannon, Cardiff midfielder Rubin Colwill, Norwich midfielder Borja Sainz and Leeds midfielder Ao Tanaka.
The winners will be decided by a judging panel comprised of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
The winners will be announced tomorrow morning.
