Here's how Middlesbrough's players rated against Norwich City:

MIDDLESBROUGH (4-2-3-1):

5 Dieng: Couldn’t do anything with Sainz’s double but should have done better with equaliser.

8 Dijksteel: Justified slight surprise selection with superb first half display. Had starring role in second goal. Went down with cramp late on.

7 Van den Berg: Did a good job on Sargent for the most part.

7 Edmundson: Like van den Berg, comfortable and limited Norwich, who struggled to create clear cut chances.

7 Borges: Building in confidence all the time. Fine delivery for Conway’s first goal.

7 Hackney: Confident  and assured midfield display wearing captain’s armband. With Morris, dominated midfield for most part.

7 Morris: Excellent in the first half and for most of the second. Tired slightly and couldn't stop Sainz getting shot away for second goal.

9 Doak: Terrorised Norwich. Had a hand in second goal and created third. Boro missed him when he was replaced in second half.

7 Azaz: Influential in first half. Linked attacking play together and scored third goal.

7 McGree: Offered balance in attack, linked up well with Borges, won second half penalty.

7 Conway: Superb in first half and scored double but missed penalty proved costly.
