MICHAEL CARRICK has left Emmanuel Latte Lath out of his starting line-up for this evening's Championship home game with Sheffield United.
Latte Lath's only goal of the current campaign came from the penalty spot on the opening day of the season.
The Ivorian has been struggling for form since, and pays the price for his struggles as he finds himself on the substitutes' bench tonight.
Micah Hamilton has also been left out from the side that kicked off Saturday's home defeat to Bristol City.
Riley McGree and Tommy Conway both return to Boro's starting side, having been second-half substitutes on Saturday.
McGree is expected to play on the left-hand side, with Conway replacing Latte Lath as Boro's central striker. The summer signing from Bristol City has been playing as a 'number ten' while Latte Lath has been in the side.
Jonny Howson returns to the Boro squad after a lengthy injury absence, but as expected, the skipper has to be content with a place on the substitutes' bench.
