There will be no betting facilities at Middlesbrough's football ground this week after the club's in-stadium betting provider went into liquidation.

Middlesbrough FC have apologised to fans that there will be no betting inside the Riverside for the two games this week.

Unibet, the official club partner, has offered to compensate anyone with an outstanding pay-out from BD Stadia, which is being closed down.

Unibet is an online operator so customers will have to set up an online account to access any outstanding funds.

A Middlesbrough FC spokesperson said: "We would like to apologise to fans because we will have no in-stadia or hospitality betting facilities for our two games this week.

"Our stadium bookmaker, BD Stadia, recently went into liquidation and is no longer trading.

"As a gesture of goodwill, official club partner Unibet has offered to compensate all individuals who have an outstanding pay-out from BD Stadia. Please email info-uk@unibetsupport.com with a copy of your bet-slip attached to make a claim.

"Please note, as Unibet is an online only operator, you will be required to set up a Unibet account which will then be credited with the outstanding funds owed once your bet-slip has been verified internally.

"Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
