IN-FORM striker Wilson Isidor claims he’s already fallen in love with Sunderland and the club’s fans.

The Frenchman was accustomed to playing in front of 75,000 crowds at Zenit St Petersburg.

But he insists that the moments after he scored in the 2-0 win over Derby eclipsed anything he has ever experienced in his career.

Isidor will be looking to find the net for the third game in a row in tonight’s blockbuster against promotion favourites Leeds at the Stadium of Light.

And he’s desperate to hit that same emotional high he felt on Tuesday night.

“It is the best feeling you can have in your career and it is something I want to experience again,” said the 24-year-old, who opened his Black Cats’ account at Watford last week.

“The Stadium of Light is a bit smaller than Zenit’s ground but you can feel the atmosphere every time you tackle, when you do something well or especially when you score.

“I don’t think I have had one shot of adrenaline like I had against Derby. It becomes like a drug and when you feel it, you want to feel it every day, every game. Nothing is comparable to these Sunderland fans."

Isidor first became aware of the passion supporters have for the club when watching the Netflix documentary “Sunderland ‘Til I Die” and he rewatched it ahead of his move to England.

And everything that’s happened since has reinforced his belief that he has joined an upwardly mobile, unique football institution.

“It is crazy and I already love this club,” added the forward whose loan deal has an option to buy clause in it. “The fans keep coming up to me and telling me I will score. They live for their club and give me so much confidence.

“As a footballer, you want to give something back to them and make them feel proud when you watch us.”

And on his long-term future, Isidor has already set his sights on prolonging his time on Wearside.

He said.” “I want to continue with Sunderland and write the club into my career and my history."

Isidor started out as a striker but spent much of his career in France and Russia patrolling the left flank.

He has no preference but is keen to extend his scoring streak against Leeds tonight.

“I will play wherever the manager puts me on the pitch,” he added. “But I know the fans here have been waiting for someone to score goals and I will always try to do that. I think I have already shown I have that instinct in the box.”
