Newcastle United return to Premier League action when they take on Manchester City on Saturday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having suffered their first defeat of the season at Fulham last weekend, Newcastle return to home soil as they take on Manchester City at St James’ Park.

The Magpies actually have a reasonable home record against the Premier League champions, having avoided defeat in four of their last eight home matches against City.

The sides met at St James’ twice last season, with Newcastle winning 1-0 in the Carabao Cup before Kevin de Bruyne’s super-sub appearance saw City come from behind to claim a 3-2 win in the league.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Saturday’s game is a lunchtime 12.30pm kick-off.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – all tickets for Saturday’s game have now gone and the game is a complete sell-out.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

Yes, the game is being televised by TNT Sports, and will be shown on the TNT Sports 1 channel, with coverage starting at 11am.

A streaming service is also available for Saturday’s game via discovery+, where subscribers can access TNT Sports, Eurosport and other entertainment channels.

Radio commentary for the match will be available on talkSPORT and BBC Radio Newcastle. The Northern Echo’s Chief Sports Writer, Scott Wilson, will be at St James’ Park producing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on The Northern Echo website.

WHAT IS NEWCASTLE’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Callum Wilson remains unavailable for Saturday’s game, and is not expected to return until after the international break.

Lewis Miley, Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles remain long-term injury absentees for the Magpies.

Eddie Howe will have to decide whether to make changes in the wake of last weekend’s defeat at Craven Cottage.

Sandro Tonali is pushing for a start at the heart of midfield, while Howe will have to decide whether to stick with Kieran Trippier and Lloyd Kelly in the full-back positions or recall Tino Livrameno and/or Lewis Hall.

Newcastle (probable, 4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Kelly; Joelinton, Guimaraes, Willock; Gordon, Isak, Barnes.

HOW ARE MAN CITY SHAPING UP?

Manchester City have been rocked by the knee-ligament injury that is set to sideline influential midfielder Rodri for a number of months.

Kevin de Bruyne remains a major doubt for Saturday’s game after being forced to miss last weekend’s draw with Arsenal because of a muscular problem.

Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb were also unavailable for the game against the Gunners, with neither player expected to feature against Newcastle.

Pep Guardiola recalled Kyle Walker and Josko Gvardiol for the game with Arsenal and will have to decide whether or not to stick with the defensive duo at St James’ Park.

Man City (probable, 4-3-3): Ederson; Lewis, Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol; Bernardo, Kovacic, Gundogan; Savinho, Haaland, Grealish.
