Former Newcastle number nine Andy Carroll is set to join fallen giants Bordeaux in the Fourth Division of French football.
Carroll, 35, will join up with the six-time French champions who are now playing in France's National 2 (N2) division after going into administration, according to French outlet RMC.
Carroll's most recent stint was at French second-tier side Amiens where he netted four goals in 28 matches.
The 6' 4" striker could make his debut for Bordeaux this Saturday against Châteaubriant at the Matmut Atlantique stadium.

Carroll was Newcastle's record sale when he moved to Liverpool in 2010 for over £35 million.
However, his spell at Liverpool was far from remarkable and he found his way back at Steve Bruce's Newcastle via West Ham.
John Williams, Amiens' sporting director, has been instrumental in facilitating Carroll's transfer, which comes at a time when the club could benefit from his experience.
Carroll's stints at Newcastle were followed by a period in England’s second-tier football, playing for Reading and West Bromwich Albion, before his switch to France.
His next move to the fourth tier of French football with Bordeaux, is a step down, but his presence and experience could potentially be a pivotal point for Bordeaux's plan to climb through the French football leagues.
