EMMANUEL Latte Lath is said to be "100% committed" to the Middlesbrough cause and was on the road to Wales on Friday night to link up with his teammates ahead of Saturday's game against Cardiff City.
Latte Lath didn't initially travel with the Boro squad earlier in the afternoon after a late move from Ipswich Town for the striker.
Boro have been crystal clear in their stance all summer and were unwilling to lose their star frontman.
Latte Lath initially had his head turned by the possibility of a move to the Premier League and the riches that would come with it, but Boro had no intentions of budging and allowing the 25-year-old to move on.
Boro were sympathetic to Latte Lath's position and discussions throughout the day are understood to have been respectful.
And after talks with club officials and head coach Michael Carrick throughout Friday afternoon, the situation was resolved and Latte Lath travelled by car to Wales late on Friday night to link up with the squad. He's understood to be available for the Cardiff game, though it's not obviously clear at this stage whether he'll start.
Latte Lath is now said to be fully committed to Boro, there's no hard feelings on either side and there's a shared desire to move forward.
Ipswich quickly accepted defeat in their pursuit of Latte Lath and turned their attention back to Armando Broja, with talks over a deal for Chelsea forward having initially broken down on Thursday night.
With Latte Lath staying put, Boro are set for a successful end to what has been a hugely impressive window, with Ben Doak set to join from Liverpool.
As many as seven clubs were interested in the talented teenage winger but Boro jumped to the front of the queue on Friday, with Doak having headed for Teesside to undergo his medical earlier this evening.
The former Celtic youngster has played 10 times for Liverpool's first team, with former boss Jurgen Klopp a big fan.
He said last year: "Ben Doak, obviously nice signs, he’s with us in training again. Special boy, really confident, has something nobody else delivers really, this kind of dribbling, this kind of straight-forward bravery, all these kind of things."
Meanwhile, Josh Coburn completed his move to Millwall earlier today. The 21-year-old will spend the season on loan with the Lions.
A loan move for Ipswich Town defender George Edmundson is no longer on the table.
