JACK Clarke will undergo a medical with Ipswich Town this morning after the Premier League club agreed a deal with Sunderland for the winger.
The Tractor Boys made their move for Clarke on Wednesday night and talks progressed quickly through the day yesterday.
Clarke trained with Sunderland on Thursday but has played his last game for the club after a deal - worth £20m including add-ons - was struck later in the day. Clarke is travelling for his medical this morning.
The winger's former club Tottenham will be due around 25% of the fee Sunderland receive for the 23-year-old, who starred last season for the Black Cats and enjoyed an impressive start to the current campaign.
Clarke has now moved into the final two years of his contract on Wearside and with the two parties having not come close to an agreement on an extension, an exit was always on the cards this summer.
Despite plenty of speculation, no concrete bids landed at Sunderland's door until Ipswich firmed up their interest this week.

Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna said on Thursday: “There are still some areas that we feel we want to add to. The forward areas is one of those.
"We know that with the level of the league, and how we operate, we need great depth in those areas. We’re a team who probably made more forward substitutions than anyone last year.
"We want to be really strong in those areas and have good depth, we want to add different qualities that we think can help us be successful in the Premier League, so we’re continuing to look at that."
Sunderland will attempt to replace Clarke in the final week of the window although head coach Le Bris admitted that could be difficult.
"I'm not sure because the market is unstable, but we are working hard," he said.
"I explained my idea before, we are often looking for the solution outside and there are talented players inside.
"We need to have this belief, that the players we have in the building are strong, even though some are young and need experience."
Sunderland look set for a double striker boost with the Black Cats closing in on the signings of Croatia youth international striker Roko Simic and Zenit St Petersburg forward Wilson Isidor.
