MIDDLESROUGH and Stoke City agreed on an earlier kick-off for their Carabao Cup second round tie in an effort to make the fixture more family friendly.
The game was yesterday confirmed to take place next Tuesday, August 27 but will kick-off at the earlier time of 7.15pm rather than 7.45pm or 8pm like every other second round tie.
Boro hope that bringing the kick-off time slightly forward will appeal to families, with the club also reducing ticket prices for concessions.
