MIDDLESBROUGH WOMEN'S promotion push gets underway this weekend - and Boro have announced a special ticket offer for the coming season.

All Boro season ticket holders will get free entry into all Boro Women's home games this term.

And in an effort to continue to inspire the next generation, admission will also be free for Under-16s, regardless of whether they're season ticket holders at the Riverside.

It promises to be a memorable campaign for Michael Mulhern's side, who are looking to build on a hugely encouraging first season after the official affiliation with Middlesbrough last summer.

Boro Women only lost twice last season on their way to a second place finish. Now, they're looking to go one better in FAWNL Division One North and win the title and with it promotion.

After announcing the special ticket offer, a Boro spokesperson said: "Demonstrating the club's investment in our women's team in their quest for success, and our backing for the thriving women's game, we are delighted to make this move to hopefully add to the ever-growing support from the stands on matchday.

"We're also aiming to inspire the next generation too, with all Under-16s enjoying free admission with our without a season ticket."

Boro have made a string of new signings this summer as they look to build on last season.

The campaign gets underway this weekend for Mulhern's side, who take on Cheadle Town at Stockton Town - where Boro fans can take advantage of the new ticket offer for the first time. The game kicks off at 2pm.

The free entry offer will also include any games played at the Riverside, which will be confirmed in due course, say the club.

Season ticket holders must display their season tickets on entry to gain free admission. General admission for non-season ticket holders and those aged 16 and over is £5.
