Middlesbrough are in pre-season friendly action when they take on Harrogate Town on Wednesday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having claimed a 5-3 victory at Doncaster’s Eco-Power Stadium on Saturday, Middlesbrough head back to Yorkshire for their penultimate pre-season game.

Boro are taking on League Two side Harrogate Town at their Wetherby Road ground, which is now known as the Exercise Stadium.

The Teessiders have never played against Harrogate in a competitive fixture.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Wednesday’s game kicks off at 7.30pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – Middlesbrough’s away allocation for the game at Harrogate is now completely sold out.

Fans can email ticket@mfc.co.uk to join a waiting list in the event of any tickets for the away end of the ground being returned.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

The game is not being televised, and there is no streaming option available for supporters either.

Radio commentary for the match will be available on BBC Radio Tees, and The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson will be at Wetherby Road providing live coverage of the game on The Northern Echo website as well as a report, reaction and analysis.

WHAT IS MIDDLESBROUGH’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

With two more pre-season games to go, Michael Carrick is likely to shuffle his pack as preparations for the new campaign near their end.

Carrick has suggested that Sol Brynn will get a chance to start in goal on Wednesday evening, with the youngster having recovered from the minor injury issue that was affecting him earlier in the month.

Darragh Lenihan and Dael Fry were not involved in Saturday’s win over Doncaster, but the defensive duo could be back in the side to face Harrogate.

Carrick could also hand a start to a number of the players that were substitutes against Doncaster, such as Anfernee Dijksteel, Dan Barlaser, Delano Burgzorg, Aidan Morris, Sonny Finch, Alex Gilbert and Josh Coburn.

Tommy Smith, Alex Bangura and Marcus Forss all remain unavailable because of injury and are expected to miss the start of the season.

HOW ARE HARROGATE SHAPING UP?

Harrogate are preparing for another season in League Two after finishing in 13th position in the fourth tier last term.

The North Yorkshire side will be hoping to improve on their showing from the weekend, when they crashed to a 4-0 home defeat at the hands of League One Lincoln City.

That was Harrogate’s fourth pre-season outing following earlier defeats to Huddersfield Town, Leeds United and Sheffield United.

A familiar name to Boro fans within Harrogate’s first-team squad is that of Sam Folarin, with the winger having joined his current employers after his release from Rockliffe Park in 2022.
