Following Gareth Southgate's resignation as England manager, the race to replace him as the national team's boss is now in full swing.
Among the favourites for the job is Newcastle manager Eddie Howe.
But which managers with North East connections have been linked to the England job and what prices are the bookmakers offering if they land the top job?
Eddie Howe - 9/4
The Newcastle head coach is some bookies' odds-on favourite to succeed Southgate. Howe is popular on Tyneside having led the club to a Champions League place and beating PSG 4-1 last season.
Former Newcastle and England forward Michael Owen said he would "love" Howe in the job in a post on X.
Michael Carrick - 20/1
The Middlesbrough manager has recently signed a contract extension at the Teesside club, but it has not stopped some bookmakers placing Carrick just outside of the top 10 of those linked with the England job.
David Moyes - 25/1
Former Sunderland man David Moyes is unemployed after he left West Ham at the end of last season.
A Scot, he may be an unpopular choice for the job with some fans who think the national team should be coached by a native.
Scott Parker - 33/1
Former Newcastle captain Parker has coached in the Premier League and recently took over at Burnley.
That has not stopped bookies taking bets on him becoming England manager with a price of 33/1 being offered by some.
John Herdman - 40/1
Herdman is not as well known as others on the list here, but the former Canada men's and women's national team manager is from Consett and has World Cup experience.

He is seen very much as an outsider, having just taken the reins at Toronto FC in the last year.
Michael Beale - 40/1
Sunderland fans are sure to have an opinion of this one! The former Rangers head coach lasted just 12 games on Wearside last season as Sunderland fell out of the playoffs and into midtable.
It's probably why he's not being offered as an option with many bookmakers, but some who are have priced him as low as 40/1.
