NEWCASTLE UNITED will head for Germany next week for a five-day training camp at the "world class" global headquarters of adidas.
Eddie Howe's squad will be based at the purpose-build HomeGround facility in rural Bavaria, which was used exclusively by the German national team this summer before their Euro 2024 exit.
The trip comes at what Howe describes as a "key period" of pre-season after the players reported back to Benton this week.
Newcastle will head for Herzogenaurach on Monday and stay until Friday.
HomeGround, the base for almost 5,000 adidas employees, was specifically designed by the sportswear giant alongside the German football federation to be an ideal team training base.
United's trip comes after the club reunited with adidas, who became the Magpies' official kit partner on a multi-year deal.
Howe said: "We are very much looking forward to visiting adidas and to training at such an outstanding facility. HomeGround looks very impressive, and it includes everything we need to maximise the players' preparations.
"The site will be a home away from home for us during a key period, and I'd like to thank adidas for extending their kind invitation to us."

Darren Eales, Newcastle United CEO, said: "We are thrilled to be partnering with adidas once again. HomeGround is just another example of the brand's commitment to excellence and it demonstrates just how much adidas understands team performance in all that it does.
"I'd like to extend my thanks to our colleagues and friends at adidas for inviting the club to spend time with them. HomeGround is a world-class facility for our players and staff to utilise, and we look forward to strengthening our bond with adidas during our time in Germany."
After their return from Germany, Newcastle's first domestic friendly will be away to Championship side Hull City on Saturday, July 27 (2pm). That will be followed by a trip to Japan, where the Magpies will face Urawa Red Diamonds and Yokohama F. Marinos.
The pre-season schedule will then conclude with the Sela Weekender, where United will face Champions League sides Girona FC and Stade Brestois.
Newcastle's players have spent the last couple of days going through their pre-season testing after reporting back to base. The internationals will get an extended break but the likes of Joelinton, Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes and Lewis Hall all reported back, as well as as new signings Lloyd Kelly, John Ruddy and Odysseas Vlachodimos.
