How did England fare in their 2-1 win over the Netherlands?

ENGLAND (3-4-2-1):

7 Pickford: Made crucial second-half saves from van Dijk and Simons – has had another excellent tournament for England

7 Walker: Kept Gakpo quiet down the Dutch right-hand side and looked happy in either a back five or a four

7 Stones: Won his personal battle with the dangerous Weghorst in the second half – has been the rock at the heart of the England defence all tournament

7 Guehi: Justified his recall ahead of Konsa with a superb defensive display – made a couple of crucial penalty-area blocks

7 Saka: Caused problems down the England right and produced a fine finish for the effort that was ruled out

7 Rice: Helped England control midfield for most of the game – stopped the Dutch from breaking into the box

8 Mainoo: Excellent in the first half in particular – got England onto the front foot looking to play forward

6 Trippier: An improved showing as he pushed on down the left, but the quality of his final ball was still diminished by his preference for his right foot

8 FODEN: Brilliant in the first half, when he had a shot cleared off the line and struck the post, but couldn’t sustain his threat through the second half

6 Bellingham: Only played in snatches, but was still an important attacking presence pushing the Dutch back

6 Kane: Scored his third goal of the tournament from the spot, but had dropped out of the game completely by the time he was eventually replaced

Subs:

6 Shaw (for Trippier, 46): Added some natural width down the left, but didn’t get forward as often as Trippier did
