A Teesside motorsports star has landed a five-figure sponsorship from a top motoring company as she prepares for her next racing series.
Lauren Tayla, 30, from Stockton, works as a technician and service advisor at Halfords and will take on male racers in the 2024 Mini Challenge Clubsport Championship.
Tayla sealed her lucrative five-figure deal with Halfords, marking the third consecutive year Halfords has backed its racing employee.

"I was lucky to be racing but we were always the poorest on the grid - making do with worn tyres while the wealthy kids were turning up with new sets for every race," she said.
"I am incredibly grateful to Halfords for their continued support.
"Being a racer is about the only career you have to pay for, so the sponsorship allows me to chase my dream," she said.
Speaking about her 2024 goals: "The aim is to be competitive - score points, and get towards the top of the pack.
"If I do that, I would look to step up another class... In the long term, the goal is to get into endurance racing and see how far I can go."
