Durham Women have announced that goalkeeper Anna King has signed her first professional contract with the club.
King, 22, inked the long-term contract at Maiden Castle.
The talented stopper first joined the club's under-16 side when she was 14 and steadily progressed through the club's pathway resulting in her representation of the Professional Game Academy under-21 side over the last two seasons.
King said: "It feels brilliant. I’ve been here since I was 14.
"Every step has taught me something new and I’ll take that into the season and hopefully learn some more as well.
"When you play for the club you support the club, and being here for so long and watching it grow has been brilliant.
"Being a part of the journey has been really special and getting a contract here makes it even better."
During her time with the club, King has delivered a number of notable performances in the PGA League and gained valuable senior football experience with Durham Cestria in the FA Women's National League.
She attributes much of her development to the club's pathway and regular training with the first team.
