How did the players fare in England’s goalless draw with Slovenia in their final group game at the Euros?
ENGLAND (4-1-4-1):
6 Pickford: Was barely involved at all, although made an important early save when he claimed a header from Sesko
6 Walker: Got forward on a number of occasions down the right, but couldn’t deliver an effective ball into the box – ended up playing at left-back
6 Stones: Was one of England’s better players, although he tended to play extremely safe when he had possession
6 Guehi: Kept Sesko quiet for the vast majority of the game, but had to pick up a yellow card after a second-half mix-up
4 Trippier: Another game that graphically exposed the problems of playing the Newcastle man at left-back – kept constantly turning infield and slowing things down
5 Rice: Saw a reasonable amount of the ball, but didn’t do anything with it – failed to find the target with a couple of long-range efforts
5 Saka: Another fairly quiet game for the winger – put the ball in the net, but Foden had already strayed offside
4 Gallagher: Got his chance ahead of Alexander-Arnold, but failed to take it in an anonymous 45-minute display that led to him being replaced at the break
4 Bellingham: Wasn’t a factor for the second game in a row – the memories of his superb opening game are fading fast
6 Foden: Was England’s brightest attacker, even if a number of his runs and passes failed to amount to anything
5 Kane: Saw a lot more of the ball than in the opening two games, but never really looked like adding to his international tally
Subs:
7 MAINOO (for Gallagher, 46): Improved things as he tried to move things forward in the second half – must have every chance of starting in the last 16
Palmer (for Saka, 70)
Alexander-Arnold (for Trippier, 84)
Gordon (for Foden, 89)
(not used): Henderson (gk), Ramsdale (gk), Konsa, Gomez, Dunk, Shaw, Wharton, Eze, Bowen, Toney, Watkins.
SLOVENIA (4-4-2):

Subs (not used): Belec (gk), Vekic (gk), Blazic, Brekalo, Kurtic, Horvat, Zeljkovic, Verbic, Lovric, Zugelj, Viptonik.
Man Of The Match: KOBBIE MAINOO – On a night when no one really shone, the Manchester United midfielder at least sparked a slight improvement in the second half.
