JAKE LAWLOR has turned down a contract offer with Darlington, and will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of his month.

Lawlor initially joined Quakers on loan from Hartlepool United in the autumn of 2021, before making the move permanent at the start of 2022.

He made 102 appearances for Darlington, scoring six goals, and also had a spell as caretaker manager with Will Hatfield and Tom Platt in the first half of last season.

Meanwhile, Darlington have finalised their friendly schedule with the addition of two more matches.

Quakers will host York City at Blackwell Meadows on Tuesday, July 23 (7.30pm) and will travel to newly-promoted Northern Premier League side Dunston UTS on Tuesday, July 30 (7.30pm).
