Emily Scarr, Sunderland Women's two-time Women’s Player of the Year awardee, has inked a fresh contract with the Club extending her stay until summer 2026.
Scarr originally touched down on Wearside in 2020 and has been in impressive form, wrapping up last season with seven league goals in 10 games.
The 24-year-old forward said: "I’m really happy.
"I definitely feel like this is the place for me to progress and develop as a player.
"I’ve loved it here, I love my teammates and the coaches, so I’m really glad I’ve signed."
Her performance, including key contributions to Sunderland's success, caught the positive attention of head coach Mel Reay.

She pointed out Scarr's significant contribution to the team's promotion charge last season, noting her crucial goals, particularly towards the season's end.
Reay said: "I’m delighted she sees her future here with us and I hope we can push on together next season."
Sunderland finished third in the Women's Championship last season after a title fight that ran to the penultimate game of the season.
The Black Cats will be joined in the league next season by local rivals Durham who avoided relegation and Newcastle United who were promoted to the division.
