ALEXANDER Isak has moved to put an end to the speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal this summer, revealing he's "really, really happy" on and off the pitch at Newcastle.

Newcastle are expected to offload some players this summer to ensure they can strengthen their squad while still complying with the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.

But the Magpies are determined to keep hold of star duo Isak and Bruno Guimaraes, the Brazilian midfielder whose £100m release clause expires at the end of this month.

Isak, who arrived on Tyneside from Real Sociedad two summers ago, was outstanding this season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions, with his form turning heads of Newcastle's rivals. North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have both been heavily linked.

But Isak doesn't want a move this summer and says he's had no indication whatsoever that the Magpies might need to cash-in.

“I’m really, really happy at Newcastle," he told Swedish outlet fotbollskanalen.

"I had my best season of my career. You can’t underestimate that. I love everything about the club, the fans, the city.

"I don’t really have any thoughts of moving or anything like that. I’m having a great time and I’m very happy with my life.

"It is not something I am speculating on. Within the team or the club there has been no talk or drama around it. I have not received the information from the club that they would have to sell me."

Isak's first 18 months on Tyneside were disrupted by injury setbacks but he started the final 13 Premier League games of the season, scoring 11 goals in that time. His 21 Premier League goals this season was a Swedish record in the English top flight, beating the previous best which was set by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"It has been good, especially the second part of the season," he said, reflecting on his time at St James' Park so far.

"I had some nicks and injuries the first part. It was a bit difficult to find the flow but in the last few months I have played regularly and gained continuity. It has shown in the performances as well,

"It's fun to have a record in Swedish football. Then I don't exactly think of Zlatan. But I am mostly satisfied with my season. I scored a lot of goals in a league like the Premier League. I think mostly about my own contribution and I am very satisfied with it."

Newcastle will look to press ahead with the signing of Lloyd Kelly after the defender's Bournemouth's exit was confirmed.

Kelly's contract is up this summer and he's one of five first team players leaving Bournemouth, who announced their retained list on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old turned down repeated offers of a new deal at the Vitality Stadium, and is set to be reunited with Eddie Howe, who was the manager who signed him for Bournemouth from Bristol City.

Kelly has provided firm assurances of his intention to join Newcastle, who were dealt a defensive setback when Chelsea hijacked their move for Tosin Adarabioyo. His Fulham exit was confirmed on Wednesday and his switch to Stamford Bridge is set to be finalised.
