Middlesbrough are in action when they take on Norwich City in the Championship on Wednesday.
Here are all the details you need to know about the game…
WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?
Having lost to Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium at the weekend, Middlesbrough return to home soil as they take on Norwich City at the Riverside.
Boro will be attempting to complete a league double, having triumphed 2-1 in the reverse fixture at Carrow Road in October thanks to second-half goals from Sam Greenwood and Sammy Silvera.
The Teessiders will be hoping for a repeat of last season’s home game against Norwich, when one of their best performances of the season resulted in a 5-1 win. Cameron Archer scored twice, with Aaron Ramsey and Hayden Hackney also finding the net, as Boro scored four goals before the break.
That result ended a run of three successive home defeats to Norwich, with all three of those matches ending in a 1-0 win for the visitors.
WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?
Wednesday’s game kicks off at 7.45pm.
ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?
Yes – home tickets for Wednesday’s game are available via the ticketing section of Boro’s official website.
Non-member prices start at £31 for adults, £23 for Over-65s and £19 for Under-18s.
IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?
Yes – Wednesday’s game is being televised live on Sky Sports and will be available on the Sky Sports Football channel via the red button and on the Sky Sports app.
With the game being broadcast live on TV, there is no domestic streaming available.
Radio coverage of Wednesday’s game will be available on BBC Radio Tees, and The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson will be at the Riverside producing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on The Northern Echo’s website.
WHAT IS MIDDLESBROUGH’S LIKELY LINE-UP?
Dael Fry, Hayden Hackney and Isaiah Jones are once again expected to be unavailable for Boro, with the trio all still making their way back from long-term injury issues.
Michael Carrick has plenty to ponder in the wake of Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Stoke though, with changes expected for the Norwich game.
Paddy McNair could come back into the side at centre-half in place of Matt Clarke, while Lukas Engel will hope to dislodge Luke Thomas from the left-back slot.
Further forward, Finn Azaz is likely to return to the starting line-up, having been a second-half substitute at Stoke, with Sammy Silvera also an option in the attacking positions.
Middlesbrough (probable, 4-2-3-1): Dieng; Ayling, van den Berg, Clarke, Engel; Barlaser, O’Brien; Forss, McGree, Silvera; Latte Lath.
HOW ARE NORWICH SHAPING UP?
Whereas Boro’s promotion push has faltered badly in the last few weeks, Norwich continue to push for a play-off place.
The Canaries beat Sunderland 1-0 at the weekend, courtesy of a second-half goal from Josh Sargent, with the win leaving them in seventh position ahead of the midweek round of matches, just one point adrift of the play-off positions.
David Wagner’s side have lost just one of their last ten league matches, and there is a good chance they could be unbeaten on Wednesday given their fine recent form. That would mean former Boro skipper Ben Gibson lining up at the heart of Norwich’s back four in what would be an emotional return to his hometown club.
If there is to be a change in the Norwich ranks, it could see Sydney van Hooijdonk – son of former Dutch international Pierre - come in for his first Championship start in place of Ashley Barnes.
Norwich (probable, 4-2-3-1): Gunn; Stacey, Hanley, Gibson, Giannoulis; Sara, McLean; Fassnacht, Barnes, Sainz; Sargent.
