HERE'S HOW MIDDLESBROUGH'S PLAYERS RATED AT MILLWALL:
7 Glover: His pass broke the lines and set Greenwood away in build-up to opener. That followed a crucial save to deny Watmore shortly after the opening goal.
8 Ayling: Difficult start defensively but used his experience to suss Millwall out and grew into the game. His experience helped when Boro were up against it. On this showing will be excellent addition in problem position, with Smith and Dijksteel out injured.
6 Van den Berg: Really struggled in the first half and was turned by Watmore early in the second, but stepped up after that as an impressive defensive effort helped Boro set it out.
8 Fry: Even when those around him were struggling in the first half, Fry was superb at the heart of Boro’s defence. Made some crucial blocks in both halves.
6 Engel: Didn’t settle in the first half and Millwall had plenty of joy down the right flank, but kept up with the attack to score equaliser. Improved defensively after the brek.
7 Howson: Helped Boro weather the early storm and key to the turnaround. Bossed it in second half.
8 Barlaser: Didn’t see as much of the ball as he’d like with Boro chasing and up against it for much of the first half, but tireless and didn’t shirk the dirty work. Played a starring role after the break and key to victory.
6 Jones: Struggled in the first half when he looked sluggish and was sloppy in possession but was still hugely influential in the result, having a hand in the equaliser and scoring the winner.
7 Azaz: Difficult first half with Boro up against it, but showed flashes of his quality. Teed up chance for Rogers with brilliant reverse pass. Played the ball that led to Jones’ goal.
6 Greenwood: Quiet in the first half but made the equaliser with excellent run and pass for Engel.
8 Rogers: Had to feed on scraps for much of the first half when Boro were up against it. Outstanding after the break. He's not a striker by trade but did a fine job in circumstances and helped Boro cope in absence of Coburn and Latte Lath.
