MICHAEL Carrick has made four changes to his Middlesbrough team for tonight's game against Preston - with two major injury blows as Dael Fry and Hayden Hackney miss out.
Lukas Engel, who suffered a hamstring injury at Bristol City, is also missing, with Sam Greenwood dropping to the bench.
Anfernee Dijksteel comes into the team and is expected to play at right-back, with Rav van den Berg shifting into the centre. Alex Bangura replaces Engel at left-back.
Dan Barlaser is in for Hackney, while Morgan Rogers comes in to start in place of Greenwood.
Sixteen year-old Fin Cartwright and 17-year-old Law McCabe are among the substitutes.
Ryan Lowe has also made four changes to his Preston side, with Andrew Hughes, Mads Frøkjær, Ryan Ledson and Will Keane coming into the team.
