NEWCASTLE UNITED’s injury problems show no sign of abating – with Callum Wilson now a doubt for the weekend trip to Bournemouth.
Wilson was replaced at the half-time interval of this evening’s 2-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League at Signal Iduna Park.
Eddie Howe has revealed that the striker was complaining of tightness in his hamstring prior to being replaced, making him an early doubt for Saturday’s game at the Vitality Stadium.

Howe said: “Callum was feeling a tightness in his hamstring, so that forced our hand as well with the other, so we are really stretched.”
When pressed whether Wilson might be forced to miss Saturday’s reunion with his former club, Bournemouth, Howe added: “It’s too early to say.”
Kieran Trippier appeared to be unhappy with his thigh in the latter stages of the Dortmund defeat, but Howe does not think the full-back has picked up a problem.
He said: “No, I think he's okay. He had a bit of a dead leg from the Arsenal game, and they can be sore for a few days, but not a muscle problem.”
