EDDIE Howe has made 10 changes to his Newcastle United team for the Carabao Cup third round tie against Manchester City - with goalkeeper Nick Pope the only survivor from the team that started against Sheffield United last time out.

Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall both make their full Newcastle debuts, while 17-year-old Lewis Miley is making his first competitive start. There's a major fitness boost for the Magpies, with Joelinton returning to the side.

Livramento will play at right-back, with Jamaal Lascelles, Paul Dummett and Matt Targett making up the backline. Hall looks set to play in midfield alongside Sandro Tonali and Miley, with Jacob Murphy and Joelinton playing off Alexander Isak. Callum Wilson is absent from the squad.

Pep Guardiola has made eight changes to his Manchester City team, with Manuel Akanji, Josko Gvardiol and Julian Alvarez the only players to keep their place from the win over Nottingham Forest last time out. Jack Grealish and Kalvin Phillips both start.
