EX-SUNDERLAND loanee Edouard Michut is set to join Turkish side Adana Demirspor on loan.
The 20-year-old made 24 Championship appearances for Sunderland last season during a loan spell from PSG but after talks between the club and the player at the end of the campaign, the Black Cats opted against making the deal permanent.
Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said at the time: “Edouard played a prominent role throughout his loan spell at the Stadium of Light and we thank him for his contribution. He is highly respected by all at Sunderland AFC but following a period of dialogue with the player and his representatives, all parties mutually agreed it was best to pursue other opportunities at this moment in time."
On deadline day, reports them emerged claiming Sunderland had shown an interest in re-signing Michut, but no move materialised, with the Black Cats bringing in four other players on the final day of the window.
Michut is out of the first team picture at PSG and that won't change any time soon. And while the transfer deadline has now passed in most European countries, the window in Turkey is open until Friday and Adana Demirspor have agreed a deal to sign the midfielder on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Demirspor are 10th in the Super Lig table after three games of the 2023/24 season.
