SUNDERLAND have finally confirmed an agreement has been reached to sign Nazariy Rusyn, with the Black Cats having worked their way through a summer of "complex" negotiations to get the deal wrapped up.
The 24-year-old has completed a medical in Paris and agreed a four-year contract at the Stadium of Light, with Sunderland having the option of a further year. The move will be finalised subject to international clearance.
Sunderland's sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said: "Nazariy is a player that we've been tracking for some time and following a complex process that has unfolded throughout the summer, we are delighted to have concluded an agreement to bring him to the club.
"He’s a dynamic and intelligent forward, who likes to exploit space, and he has consistently impacted a senior environment by contributing goals and assists. We look forward to supporting Nazariy as he adapts to life in a new environment, and we are excited to welcome him to the Stadium of Light.”

Rusyn follows Chelsea striker Mason Burstow through the door at the Stadium of Light, with Ross Stewart still expected to complete his move to Southampton before Friday's 11pm deadline.
Rusyn scored 21 goals and registered 10 assists in 49 appearances for Zorya Luhansk. He received a senior Ukraine call-up earlier this year.
Sunderland say the striker will travel to Wearside and link-up with his new teammates once international clearance is confirmed.
