NEWCASTLE United have confirmed the signing of Chelsea's Lewis Hall.
The 18-year-old has joined on a season-long loan, with the deal including an obligation for the Magpies to make the transfer permanent next summer, based on performance-related criteria.
Hall - who is a boyhood Newcastle fan - will wear the No.20 shirt for Eddie Howe's side.
The highly-rated teenager made 12 senior appearances for Chelsea after breaking into the first team picture at Stamford Bridge. He was named the club's academy player of the year in 2022/23.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe said: "I'm delighted to welcome Lewis to Newcastle United.
"He is a player we have tracked closely, as have a number of clubs, so it's very pleasing to secure him and to add a player of his quality, versatility and high potential to our squad.
"I'd like to thank everyone involved for their tireless work to bring in the players we have.
"A lot of time, effort and resource goes into a transfer window, but we have a real togetherness at all levels here and I appreciate that teamwork and support."
Howe last week suggested that Hall would be Newcastle's final summer signing, though the Magpies are still hoping to offload senior players who are out of the first team picture such as Ryan Fraser, Jeff Hendrick and Isaac Hayden.
