Triantis is part of the starting side as Tony Mowbray rests all 11 of the players that started Saturday's home draw with Real Mallorca.
Sixteen-year-old Matty Young gets another pre-season in goal, with Nathan Bishop still to complete his anticipated move from Manchester United.
Traintis is part of a defence that also features Danny Batth and Ellis Taylor, with Lynden Gooch set to line up as part of the Sunderland midfield.
Niall Huggins is set to partner Chris Rigg in a deep-lying midfield role, with Alex Pritchard having received the nod to start in attack.
Mowbray has named a strong bench, with the likes of Anthony Patterson, Dennis Cirkin, Dan Ballardm Jobe Bellingham, Jack Clarke and Patrick Roberts featuring amongst the Black Cats' replacements.
