THE new Newcastle United docuseries telling the inside story of the 2022/23 season will be released on Prime Video next month, with full details now confirmed.

The first episode of We Are Newcastle United will air on Friday, August 11 with the following three episodes released on Friday, August 18, Friday, August 25 and Friday, September 1.

Narrated by Newcastle United's all-time leading goalscorer Alan Shearer, the series offers exclusive access to the club's decision makers and goes behind the scenes at the training ground, in the dressing room and the boardroom, telling the story of the Magpies' journey to the Carabao Cup final and qualification for the Champions League.

The trailer, released today, teases insight from Amanda Staveley, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, Jamie Reuben and Yasir Al-Rumayyan as well as showing glimpses of footage that will feature from inside the Newcastle dressing room. The series will also follow the lives of some of Newcastle's players.

We Are Newcastle United is produced by Lorton Entertainment and 72 Films, a Fremantle company, executive produced by Clare Cameron and three-time BAFTA winner John Douglas, and the series follows the global success of All or Nothing: Arsenal, All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur and All or Nothing: Manchester City and joins Prime Video's growing line-up of sports content.

Newcastle agreed to the series as club bosses looked at ways to grow revenue in order to ensure they can comply with financial fair play regulations.

Discussing the series last season, head coach Howe said: "I think it would be foolish of me to say 'no, these cameras aren't going to follow us around', then go 'we need to sign new players'.

"They'll say 'we haven't got the money, we can't do it because of FFP, and you've turned away this opportunity for the club to turn away more income’.

"I'm never going to go against the club in that, I'll always try and support it. I think the inner working of a football club, it's delicate. I'm not necessarily one of those managers who will sit here and say I want everything to be open. I think (about) privacy, and when you're dealing with players, there are certain things that for me should never escape the walls of a training ground.

"But, as I say, I can't go against the club, and I'll always support the club in whatever venture they're trying to do, as long as it doesn't overstep the mark."

Membership for Prime costs £8.99 a month or best value £95 a year.
