MIDDLESBROUGH will play a behind-closed-doors friendly as part of next week's training camp in Portugal.

Having returned to pre-season training at Rockliffe Park on Monday, Michael Carrick and his players will head to the Algarve for their next stage of their preparations on Sunday.

They will spend a week in Portugal at a training camp, and while there are no public matches planned for their time on the continent, they will play a behind-closed-doors game.

Boro will take on Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit Vitoria Guimaraes, but no supporters will be admitted for the friendly.
