Newcastle United return to action when they take on Everton in the Premier League on Thursday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having hammered Tottenham at St James’ Park on Sunday, Newcastle United are back on their travels on Thursday as they head to Merseyside to take on Everton at Goodison Park.

The Magpies are looking to complete a league double, having beaten Everton 1-0 at St James’ Park in October thanks to a goal from Miguel Almiron.

Newcastle do not have a good recent record at Goodison Park though, having won just one of their last ten matches at Everton’s home ground. Last season’s game saw Eddie Howe’s side lose 1-0 courtesy of a stoppage-time strike from Alex Iwobi.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Thursday’s game kicks off at 7.45pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

No – all the tickets for the away end for Thursday’s game have been sold, with Newcastle taking a full allocation of travelling fans to Goodison Park.

Newcastle will be roared on by 3,000 supporters on Merseyside.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

Thursday’s game is being televised live by BT Sport.

With the game being televised, there will be no domestic streaming service available.

Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Newcastle and talkSPORT 2, and The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson will be at Goodison Park providing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on The Northern Echo’s website.

WHAT IS NEWCASTLE’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Allan Saint-Maximin remains unavailable because of a hamstring injury, while Fabian Schar is also an injury doubt.

Schar was struggling with a hamstring injury of his own in the latter stages of Sunday’s thrashing of Tottenham, and was unable to complete the game, but it is hoped the Swiss centre-half will be passed fit to line up at Goodison Park.

If Schar makes it, there is a good chance Eddie Howe will name an unchanged line-up, although with a home game against Southampton coming up on Sunday, he will have to be mindful of the demands of three games in the space of seven days.

Anthony Gordon will be desperate to start against his former club, but while the midfielder is guaranteed a hostile reception given the controversial nature of his departure from Goodison Park, he is likely to find himself on the substitutes’ bench.

Newcastle (probable, 4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schar, Botman, Burn; Guimaraes, Longstaff, Willlock; Murphy, Isak, Joelinton.

HOW ARE EVERTON SHAPING UP?

While Newcastle need a win on Thursday evening to maintain their cushion in the Champions League places, Everton desperately need all three points to assist their battle against the drop.

Wednesday’s results have left the Toffees sitting in 19th position in the Premier League table, two points adrift of safety.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin make a long-awaited comeback from injury as Everton drew with Crystal Palace at the weekend, and the England international is likely to remain in the starting line-up against Newcastle.

Abdoulaye Doucoure is available again after completing a three-match suspension, while Amadou Onana could also return from injury at the heart of midfield after missing the last two games.

Mason Holgate is suspended after his dismissal against Palace, and with Seamus Coleman unlikely to be available because of injury, Nathan Patterson is set to get the nod at right-back.

Everton (probable, 4-5-1): Pickford; Patterson, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Gray, Onana, Gueye, Doucoure, Iwobi; Calvert-Lewin.
