MICHAEL Carrick was delighted with Middlesbrough's victory over Hull City but the victory could have come at a price, with two more fresh injury concerns.
Tommy Smith and Marcus Forss were both forced off injured at half-time, as Boro's injury problems continue to pile up.
They'll join Riley McGree, Aaron Ramsey and Dael Fry on the treatment table, with the trio all missing the visit of the Tigers.
Both Smith and Forss suffered the injuries in separate incidents moments after City had taken the lead.
Carrick said: "Marcus has done his ankle, Tommy it looks like it's ribs. It's early, we'll have to wait and see."
Smith and Forss were replaced by Anfernee Dijksteel and Isaiah Jones against Hull, with the substitutes key to the brilliant turnaround in the second half as Boro recovered from a goal down to win 3-1.
It's not clear at this stage how long Smith and Forss will be out - which is also the case for Fry, McGree and Ramsey.
Asked for an update on trio, Carrick admitted: "It's not too great, to be honest.
"We're still waiting on all three of them to see if it's a matter of days or weeks. I haven't got much more to tell you, we're just hopeful it's not too long for all three."
Despite his injury concern, Carrick was thrilled with his side's come from behind victory against Hull.
He said: "Funnily enough we started the game actually pretty well initially and had a couple of chances, looked in good shape and then in the first-half we lost our intensity.
"I spoke about it before the game about how good a team they are and how much they work for it. If you're not quite on it, they take the ball of you and hide the ball, they can play a bit through you and they did that first-half.
"We just weren't quite as positive as we have been. We were a little bit unsure, second guessing at times. We backed ourselves second-half and we were much better and trusted themselves a bit more.
"Penetration and the chances came and we deserved to win in the end."
