Sunderland return to action when they take on Huddersfield Town in the Championship on Tuesday.

Here are all the details you need to know about the game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Having seen off Birmingham City on Saturday, Sunderland are back on home soil for the second time in four days as they take on Huddersfield at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats will be hoping for a repeat of the reverse fixture at the John Smith’s Stadium in early November, which saw goals from Alex Pritchard and Amad Diallo secure a 2-0 win.

This is the first time Sunderland have played Huddersfield in a league game on Wearside since April 1999, when goals from Niall Quinn and Allan Johnston secured a 2-0 victory.

Huddersfield’s last visit to Wearside in any competition came in September 2003, when Jon Stead was amongst the Terriers’ scorers as they beat the Black Cats 4-2 in the Carling Cup.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Tuesday’s game kicks off at 7.45pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

Yes – tickets for Tuesday’s game at the Stadium of Light are still available on general sale, and can be purchased from the ticketing section of Sunderland’s official website.

Prices start at £29 for adults, £26 for Over-65s, £22 for Under-22s and £12 for Under-16s.

IS THE GAME BEING TELEVISED OR STREAMED LIVE?

While Tuesday’s game is not Sky Sports’ main Championship selection, it will be still be available to watch live on Sky Sports Football’s red button service and via the Sky Sports app.

The game will also be available via the Live Streaming service on Sunderland’s official website.

Radio commentary will be available on BBC Radio Newcastle, and The Northern Echo’s Scott Wilson will be at the Stadium of Light providing a live blog, report, ratings, reaction and analysis on the Sunderland section of The Northern Echo’s website.

WHAT IS SUNDERLAND’S LIKELY LINE-UP?

Dennis Cirkin is suspended for Tuesday’s game after his dismissal in Saturday’s win over Birmingham, although the quick turnaround between the two games means Tony Mowbray has suggested the full-back would probably not have started against Huddersfield anyway.

Luke O’Nien is expected to take Cirkin’s place at left-back, having come off the bench in the second half of Saturday’s game.

Joe Gelhardt has not started either of Sunderland’s last two matches, with Mowbray seemingly having given up on using the Leeds United loanee as a ‘number nine’.

Alex Pritchard and Amad Diallo have been alternating in the central-attacking role in the last couple of games, and the pair are likely to be asked to spearhead Sunderland’s attack once again.

None of Sunderland’s long-term absentees will be available on Tuesday, although it is hoped Dan Ballard could return before the end of the campaign.

Sunderland (probable, 4-2-3-1): Patterson; Gooch, Hume, Batth, O’Nien; Neil, Ekwah; Roberts, Amad, Clarke; Pritchard.

HOW ARE HUDDERSFIELD SHAPING UP?

Huddersfield have improved dramatically following the managerial return of veteran boss Neil Warnock, but a failure to win either of their last two matches means the Terriers are still deep in relegation trouble.

They are just one point clear of their drop zone ahead of their trip to the North-East, and went down 1-0 to Swansea City at the weekend.

Warnock has been struggling with a lengthy injury list in the last few weeks, and a number of experienced players are set to miss Tuesday’s game. Anthony Knockaert, Duane Holmes, Oliver Turton, Kieran Phillips and Lee Nicholls are all expected to be unavailable.

Danny Ward has been leading the Huddersfield line in recent weeks, although Josh Koroma is also pushing for a starting spot.

Huddersfield (probable, 3-4-1-2): Vaclik; Lees, Helik, Pearson; Kasamu, Hogg, Edmonds-Green, Headley; Rudoni; Diarra, Ward.
